Dear Sun, Let me in your lighted day. Show me the warmth I've followed for eons. Give me your shining rays, For I am only a hand in the toss of reflection. Why do you taunt me so? Beckoning to me with sweet red and pink hues, only to hide away and leave me in the dark. Then you appear again and cast me aside like an empty cloud, like a falling star so soon to burn out. Why must we dance but never touch? Your heat caresses my face and fills the world with life I rarely see. Why do you run from me? When did the sky become such a lonely place? Stars are so far away and you dance just out of my reach. It is because of your brilliance
